As it's back to school time for many several high street stores are marking the occasion with an increase in their student discount rates. Awear has raised its student discount to 20 per cent while Coast is also offering 20 per cent off to students.

Have I mentioned how much I love Dunnes Stores? Although it is a little bit more expensive than Penneys it still represents great value for money and is bang on trend every season with designer look-a-likes a plenty. It's also a really cheap place to spot essentials such as white vests, jeggings, black trousers etc. It's particularly a great place for Macs, a wardrobe staple, and currently has a range available in colours such as black and pink from just €40. 

It still has a small selection of summer sale items but what is of most interest at the moment are the new season items. The popular shoe boot is now available in store in black, brown and dark blue from an amazing €20. It also has polo t-shirts in a variety of colours for €8.

Debenhams Final Summer Sale

I know I've probably been harping on about the Debenham's sale all summer, but if you haven't already checked it out then you soon won't get a chance as its "final summer sale" is now on. 

There's still 70 per cent off lots of goodies but you can now enjoy buy one and get one free on womenswear sale items, which isn't to be sniffed at, especially if you're bad at choosing between two items you love!

It goes without saying that Kildare Village is a popular haunt for any bargain shopper. If you, like most women, are eagerly following every style move that Kate Middleton makes and want to grab a pair of LK Bennett shoes (a favourite of the Princess) then the store at Kildare Village is a must visit with shoes from as little as €30 on offer. There is also classic dresses in a range of colours from just €65. 

Lastly if you haven't visited Penneys in a while then do so now because they have leather upper and insock pumps from €13. They are extremely comfortable and won't break the bank!

The summer sales are dying out and many stores are now featuring their new season collections. However, fear not as there are still many bargains on offer in a huge range of high street stores. For instance Pamela Scott's sale is still raging on with 50 per cent off many items. 

If you enjoy shopping online, asos.com has super deals on offer while dresses.ie is selling summer dresses for as low as €20. 

The website dress-for-less.ie features brands like Karl Lagerfeld and Dolce&Gabbana and is also worth checking out. I particularly like the black Pepe Jeans dress, pictured above, which is just €59.90. A perfect twist on the classic LBD!

Superb Offers At Kildare Village

I hate to harp on about Kildare Village a lot but the bargains are just too good to ignore at the moment! You'll find major savings on brands like DKNY, Thomas Pink and Levis - all of which have 75 per cent off. I know it's hard to believe but the outlet is also offering a massive 80 per cent off the brand Jaeger. 

Elsewhere you'll find 70 per cent off selected items at Debenhams and 70 per cent off Calvin Klein lingerie at House of Fraser. 

I visited Dunnes Stores recently and although their selection is quite bitty there's great savings on leisure wear, shoes and sandals. I spotted shoes for as low as €7 and stylish flip-flops for just €4.

The fabulous department store Clerys now has up to 70 per cent off stock until this Sunday. There are some mega-bargains to be had with lingerie on offer for only €5. The brands include Triumph, Panache and Lepel. Selected children's clothing can be got from just €10 and there's also tonnes of bargains on homewares.
